31 Days of Gratitude Challenge

31 Days of Gratitude challenge continues

I was thrilled to see so many interested in this 31 Days of Gratitude challenge, as I am also.

Let’s continue with the gratitude challenge.

My goal is to keep this simple, so no one becomes overwhelmed.

As we live on an off grid homestead, many of my blessings will relate to homestead life. Today is no exception.

31 Days of Gratitude, Day 2

As I took a quick hike up our hill on the homestead, I looked around and noted several things for which I am grateful.

Progress on our homestead, along with safety during the process is my top gratitude for today. I could see a place where my husband had unloaded some heavy mulch, and tipped his truck over in the process. It was a scary situation, which occurred on the edge of the hill, but the truck did not topple over the hill.

Before the accident

You can see that location on this quick YouTube Short.

God is good, and often we are blessed to witness his goodness in tangible ways. Other times, we have to use more faith, but He is still there.

Let’s continue to count our blessings daily and cultivate an attitude of gratitude.

Until next time,

Laurie

  1. I like the idea of double dipping with a 31 day blog challenge and a 31 day gratitude challenge.
Sorry to hear about the truck damage. It looks to me that the frame of the truck was not strong enough to support the weight that the box could hold.
Wet leaves are a lot heavier than dry ones and when they are composting they are even more dense.
Hopefully the repairs can be done in a reasonable amount of time and maybe even be stronger than before.
Keep the faith and blog on !

    1. You got it. The truck has been repaired, I’m told it is stronger than before, but it was a very costly mistake. The most expensive garden soil we’ve ever made!

Thanks for coming by and joining in!

  2. I admire your homestead experience and pray it goes well. I am facing surgery this morning and so grateful I have a God who listens and cares. Glad your husband is ok I hope.

What is your experience? 💜 I read every comment, and so many times I find that I gain encouragement from what’s shared. ❤️
