Flowers in October

I shared a good conversation today with a friend, and we talked about gratitude.

It’s a gift that we can cultivate. If I’m thankful, it helps me. That makes me a better person, and hopefully, nicer to be around.

Today, I have many things that I am grateful for. My friend recommended spreading my gratitude items out so that I remember a little something every day.

I liked that idea.

Yet, I may forget tomorrow what I was grateful for today, so I’d better just go ahead and say them today.

Grateful for flowers

Several years ago, Mom gave Greg a CD by Tim Janis called Flowers in October. It’s a soothing instrumental collection of songs that we enjoy.

The name always brings me a smile, because the idea of flowers in October is so nice.

I picked some today, and it’s October, so there ya go.

Here are some that I picked, and where they ended up on my windowsill.

I can see them when I wash dishes.

Cooler Weather

It’s cooler, and breezy, and I love the overall weather in October as the seasons change.

I think I’ll leave it at that for now, and save some of my gratitudes for tomorrow, after all.

Have a wonderful day, and I hope you find some flowers in October too!
