Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!
Rain, rain, go away,
Come again some other day!
We sang that these past several days, but not long ago, we cried for rain! I guess we just can’t quite win! I think we’d all just like a good balance of sun and rain.
We have localized flooding, and regional flooding, but today the sun is shining, and our guys are all back to work! I kind of enjoyed having some of them home for the past two days (we got more done), but everyone does appreciate some routine.
Now, it’s back to me and the cats up here on this ridge.
We are not lazing around (well, I can only speak for myself). I have a big project I’m trying to chip away at, and that’s the dungeon, I mean basement.
Picture this: cramming all of your household goods into one room, and leaving it there to work around for almost six years! That was our brilliant plan, minus the six years—it was supposed to be quicker than that.
Life, though.
Now, every day, I go stare at all of the stuff and wish that someone would come sort it out so I can get the rest organized.
Nobody came.
Guess it’s me, and us, whenever anybody else is around.
It’s a big elephant. I’m taking another bite today, hopefully. Better get going on that before I run away to a thrift store!
Have a great day!
Laurie
Oh, if you’re actually brave enough, and a little bit curious, this video is our start. There will be more.

Laurie,
We need rain as we are a bit lower in rain than normal and with the terrible heat here, everything is dry….
