Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!

If you came for the blog hop, you’re in the right place!

It’s a beautiful day, but will end up scorching!

I have a question for you!

  • Do you bake bread?
  • If so, what is your preferred method?
  • Machine or by hand?

I have a reason for asking.

I am going to be making some bread today, after a 14 year lapse in making homemade bread.

I planned to just whip out my Bosch mixer (highly recommend this) to let it do the kneading, but alas, I have not unearthed it in our pile of stored boxes. Therefore, I will be doing it completely old-fashioned, and that’s not really my habit.

If you have a wonderful recipe, please let me know. I do not have a bread machine anymore—I’ve been tempted to grab one at the Goodwill, but thought I had my mixer. I will eventually find it, but in the meantime, I may just go spend the $10 to make it easier.

Today, though, it’s going to be by hand. Wish me luck!

Oh, and I plan to bake it in the Oster countertop oven/air fryer I recently bought, so that will be an adjustment.

If our kids can make bread in a ziplock baggie, I should be able to swing this!

Have a great day!
