Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!
What a crazy night to wake up to this! I have to admit that I’m a bit shocked about the outcome for several reasons. Now we know, so all of the focus can move back to other things.
Whether you’re relieved this morning or concerned, we can remember that ultimately, God is our leader. He will carry us through if we put our trust in Him, no matter who is recognized as our country’s leader.
Pray for God to lead, for peace, and for His wisdom.
Have a blessed day
Laurie

- Link up to three posts each week.
- Try to visit at least a few other blogs at the party. Be sure to leave a comment to let them know you stopped by.
- Link your post back to the Homestead Blog Hop. If the hop isn’t linked to your post then you cannot be featured. All featured posts will be shared on all hosts’ social media channels.
- Please link up posts that you haven’t linked to the hop before. You are welcome to link old posts from your blog.
- By joining the party, you are giving the hosts permission to use one photo from your post with a link back to your site if it is selected as one of next week’s Features.
- This is a family-friendly link up meant to inspire and motivate the homesteader in all of us.

Laurie,
I want to THANK YOU for this post…I have been ranting and raving and crying all morning over the election results BUT you re so right in that it is GOD who is in control and not one single Man. So I have calmed down, kissed it all up to God, will pray that America will survive the next 4 years an will not let that man control my life and my happiness!!! Thank you again!!!
Thanks so much for hosting!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are enjoying your week and you are doing well…
Hugs,
Deb

Honestly, I don’t understand how someone could be so upset by the election results who is a Christian or otherwise. I think it may be a matter of not looking at policies and the truth. If you support laws allowing women to kill their unborn children at any stage for any reason, if you want to get rid of the electoral college, if you don’t mind that kindergartners are learning about transgenderism instead of virtues, if you are unaffected by the cost of groceries, utilities, and taxes, if you want continued wars, politicization of government agencies and open borders, I guess one would be upset. God help us see the truth.
Perhaps you misunderstood something I said?
I never suggested I was upset, as far as I’m aware.
I said I was shocked. Seeing the recent history in our country, it was truly a shock to me to see a win, since the last time, it was questionable at best. So I went to bed kind of thinking that may happen again. When I woke up, I was surprised.
It’s easy to misunderstand people we don’t know, so I don’t really get into talking politics here, but I think you can probably catch some of my views just from reading more.
Blessings,
Laurie
God is always in control.
No man or woman is our savior.
Let’s all be kind to each other and show the love we claim to have for each other. That’s the only way.
Thank you for sharing your words and perspective, Laurie! It saddens me that our country is so divided… Remembering that God is in control brings comfort!
Wishing you a week of peace and light ahead!
Thank you.
You too.
I need to look back and see what I wrote, as it may not have communicated what I wanted to say.
We can trust the God has the answers.
My comment was actually in response to one of your other readers who was crying, ranting. God bless you and your day
Oh, got it.
It’s funny how we all have different outlooks on the same situation, but I think another depends on what/who we listen to.
