Welcome to the Homestead Blog Hop!
Good morning to you!
I am feeling much more uplifted this week with all of the sunshine and glorious temperatures! Spring is twenty-some days away, and I do believe I’m longing for it.
It’s been a long, gray Winter.
Please tell me if you have seen any signs of Spring yet!
I have not seen any, aside from the mud, but since we had that all Winter long, it does not count to me.
Actually, Robins!

I keep seeing so many Robins! I hear one chirping right now, that’s why I thought of it!
Robins are often a harbinger of Spring!
I learned something just now when I searched for an image of a Robin. Apparently, there are several birds called “robins”, some of which look nothing like our local birds. In fact, I began to feel like I was going crazy, because none of the birds were actually the robins I am familiar with. It wasn’t until I searched under “American Robin” that I found our beloved Robin Redbreast birds!
I cannot close this post without mentioning the book, Robby the Robin! Please check out this story for the whole family! I am going to dig our copy out of somewhere to read again!

Robby the Robin fell from a tree in a tornado, and the owners ended up raising him and adopting him. The joke was on the family, because Robby actually adopted them, and came back over many years to visit every year! You can really see the personality and love even in the little creatures that God has made!
I hope you have the chance to throw open your windows to hear the birds and to let in the fresh air. Get out into the sunshine too!
Enjoy your week!
Laurie
