Today on our YouTube channel, I shared our family’s Sunday morning tradition of making homemade waffles with all the fixin’s!

We deck them out with my Vegan Whipped Cream, fresh or frozen fruit, maple syrup, and whatever else seems to strike our fancy!

homemade waffles!

I make our homemade waffles 100% plant based/vegan, and mostly whole grain. They are hearty, delicious, and stay with us for our busy homesteading projects during the day.

My recipe for homemade waffles is simple, more of a guide, because I almost always alter it a bit.

I add pumpkin and corresponding spices in the Autumn.

I add chocolate chips and walnuts sometimes.

I mix up the grains, sometimes adding corn meal or oats, flax or chia, just depending on my tastes for that week.

Here is the base recipe for our homemade waffles. You can branch off in hundreds of directions.
