I am super proud of Sandra! She set a goal and went for it–and she made it! I watched the release date ever since hearing the good news about the book, and TODAY is that day!
I grabbed my copy right away–I didn’t want to wait for shipping, so I purchased the Kindle Edition! Once you get your copy of Angels All Around, her story is #77, and I know that you will love it. It’s about a time when she directly saw…well, I can’t spoil the surprise, so you’ll have to check it out for yourself!
But, here is a tiny teaser from my Kindle copy of Angels All Around
I read the account of this story shortly after it happened. But when I read the story today, tears came to my eyes. I saw that God is very interested in our every detail, especially in the lives of our children. Truly there are angels all around!
Book Signing
Sandra informed me that where she lives, in the Chattanooga area, she will be participating in a book signing for Angels All Around in the near future, so if you live in that area, keep your eyes and ears out for that announcement. The proceeds of sales on that signing day will go for one of her favorite children’s charities. Keep a look out on Sandra’s Facebook Page for updates.
Get Your Copy
In the mean time, you may do like I did and get your copy of Angels All Around off amazon.com. They have the paper and Kindle versions, depending on your preferences. They also have many of the other of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Our recent favorites are Inspiration for Writers, and Chicken Soup for the Cat and Dog Lover’s Souls. We found the Cat and Dog Lover book at a thrift store recently, and have appreciated several of the sweet stories. We downloaded the Inspiration for Writers to get just that–inspiration! I found some great gems, but have still more to explore in that book.
Just in case you are the rare person who’s never heard of, never read, or never tried the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, you’re missing out! They have a book on almost every topic you could think of, and each story is an individual’s own account of something that impacted his or her life. Each book contains 101 true stories to inspire and uplift you.
These are great short stories to pick up while riding in the car, for a nice object lesson, or just to grab when you’ve got ten minutes to relax. I’ve heard that there are over 250 titles in the Chicken Soup book collection, so you surely can find something you’d enjoy!
Back to Sandra
Sandra has been a writer for years; it’s just in her blood. But recently, she decided to really pursue her dream of writing seriously. I enjoy writing with Sandra. She’s upbeat, she’s fun, and she’s my best friend. But, more importantly for this topic, she’s a great writer. She has many accounts in her head just waiting to come out, and little by little, they are materializing into stories.
You can find her blog, which has some nice stories taken from real life experiences. One of her stories, Ms. Norma, was my first Friday Friendship Feature post, and I believe that it will touch your heart. Also, she talks of her feelings about being published at this post.
Incidentally, if you would like to try your hand at getting published, this post, on How to Get Published in Chicken Soup for the Soul, is a great place to find some ideas and tips. It details steps and what they look for. It might be fun to give your story a try!
Sandra is pursuing her career in writing. She has a website in addition to her blog, so if you need a book written, are interested in more of her work, or are simply curious, you may find her at Willowwysp Publishing.
Follow Your Dreams
If you have a dream, make a goal, and give it a try! The more you try, the more chances you will have to see your dream come true! Following our dreams is healthy, and it helps our brains to make plans! It certainly gives you a boost when you reach your goal, as is the case with my friend Sandy! Please leave a comment to congratulate her on her blog or Facebook page, and be sure to check out the book, Angels All Around, where you will read her story and a hundred more stories of divine intervention in the lives of ordinary people!
Good for Sandra, sounds like a great book, I have lots on angels.
I have at least one, and I’m so thankful!
How exciting!! Congrats to your friend. One of my favorite books is “Angels” by Billy Graham. It’s amazing how God works.
