Super Simple Recipe for Salted Caramel Date Fudge
4 Ingredients, unlimited options!
This is a recipe that I learned of while hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Another mom, whom I’d never met before, randomly popped out with this recipe, which intrigued me.
-
I liked that it was:
Simple–just 3-4 ingredients!
- Raw
- Vegan
- Gluten free
- Fast
- Delicious
- Salty-sweet! Always a win for me!!
I actually adapted her recipe and added the sea salt sprinkled on top!

Chewy, sweet, salted caramel date fudge!
Perfect for holiday gatherings!
Here ya go!
Salted Caramel Date Fudge
- 1 Cup Walnuts
- 3 Cup Chopped Dates
- 1 Tbs Pure Vanilla
- Sea Salt–to sprinkle on top
*Note*. We get our dates and nuts in bulk. They are priced very reasonably this way. Look at local food order coops and for bulk via Amazon.com. Sam’s Club and Costco also often have reasonably priced nuts or dates. I have linked the most reasonably priced items available on Amazon.com. They are affiliate links. ?.
Directions: Process in a food processor or blender until smooth, using tamper to push through blades. You’ll need a GOOD blender! Like a Vitamix. A food processor would work well.
Keep an eye on your blender because this mixture is thick! It shut down my blender motor!
Adjust the amount of dates as needed. The mixture will become quite oily as the walnuts get processed. If it is a good texture (like very thick clay) but too oily, then use a paper towel to absorb the excess once in the pan.
Press into a pie pan or 8×8 square pan. Or roll into 1″ balls.
- Sprinkle with Sea Salt
- Chill.
- Cut into squares and serve!!
Enjoy!!

This Vegan Salted Caramel Date Fudge is awesome as is!
But I sometimes like to add:
- Carob or chocolate chips
- Sprinkles
- Coconut shreds
- Coarsely chopped nuts
You can whip this up in like 5 minutes, so it’s perfect for any party or get-together!
