Welcome to the Sunday Sunshine Blog Hop!
Good morning to you!
As we’ve been going through the last couple of days/weeks/months even, praying for our kids has definitely been on my mind.
When our oldest son, Austin, went through his near-death accident (Our Boy, Austin. Progress and Updates.), our prayer life and prayer chain certainly ramped up to meet that need. But, honestly, it’s continued to lay heavy on my heart beyond the emergency.
Maybe it’s because I know that we really don’t have another day guaranteed. We saw that with Austin. We knew it, it was just a very up-close reminder.
Maybe it’s because this world is so dark these days. The evil no longer hides in the shadows–it is shouting in our faces! And, in the faces of our kids. That’s sobering and scary.
So…prayer and claiming God’s promises is more important than ever. As I’m able to (and I can plan to do it every day, but know I’ll drop the all some days) I feel the desire to send my boys little reminders from God about what He says about them. We need more truth in their ears to counteract Satan’s lies.
Here’s the one I made yesterday. Nothing fancy. Feel free to share with anyone who needs a little reminder.
What are some of your favorite Bible promises, especially for the youth? Share them, and if they’re some I haven’t remembered, I may use them in a future reminder for our youth (and ourselves). 🙂
Have a great week!
Laurie
