Whose Light is shining in my home?
Isaiah 50:4
The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
Isaiah 50:5
The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
Isaiah 50:7
For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
Isaiah 50:10-11
Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
I can make my own fire and try to walk by its light. But that will end in sorrow for me, as well as those for those whose way I am striving to guide.
Or I can allow myself to be led by Someone wiser than myself, who knows not only what I need, but what my family needs too.
Lord, I want the tongue of the learned. You have the wisdom that I need. You have the words, and you’ve promised to give me these things that I need. I like it that You have promised the tongue on the learned and that I will be able to hear as the learned. There is no reason why You won’t give that to me is I am seeking You and letting You, not me, light the fire.
But I like it that when You light my fire, then I will be a little light shining in a cold, dark world.
Happy Sabbath!

Beautiful photos and Bible quotes. I hope you had a peaceful Shabbat.
Thank you!! You as well!!
I love all the Bible quotes but the last one is a winner for sure!
Thank you! I can’t take credit, but they all spoke to me.
I like “when You light my fire, then I will be a little light shining in a cold, dark world”, and I certainly try to tight up a corner of the dark world.
That’s good to hear. We all have different ways to shine.
